Privacy Policy
At PDF Toolkit, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Unlike almost every other PDF tool on the internet, we've designed our platform so that your personal documents never touch our servers.
1. Ironclad Client-Side Processing
The most important thing to know about PDF Toolkit is that your files are never uploaded. We leverage advanced browser-based technologies (WebAssembly and local JavaScript engines) to perform all conversions, edits, and analysis directly within your browser's memory.
When you "upload" a file, you are simply giving our local script permission to read the data on your machine. The data is processed, the new file is generated, and it is offered for download—all without a single byte being transmitted to a remote server.
2. No Personal Data Collection
We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or verify your identity to use our 50+ tools. We have no user database, which means we have no personal information to sell, share, or lose in a data breach.
If you contact us via email or our contact form, we will use that information only to respond to your inquiry. We never use your contact details for marketing purposes or share them with third parties.
3. Analytics & Logging
To improve our services, we use standard, privacy-preserving web analytics. This allows us to see which tools are popular and how users interact with the site. This data is entirely anonymous and includes things like:
- General geographic location (Country and City level)
- Device type and browser version
- Average time spent on a tool page
- Referring website (how you found us)
4. Advertising and Cookies
PDF Toolkit is supported by advertisements. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google Ad Settings.
Our local tools do not use cookies to track your document content. Cookies are strictly used for session persistence (to remember your theme preference) and advertising/analytics.
5. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.
6. Compliance with Laws
Because we do not store any user documents or personal identifying information, we are uniquely compliant with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. We cannot provide user data to government authorities or third parties because we do not have any data to give.
7. Contact Information
If you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please feel free to reach out to us through our Contact Page.
